Historicity of Vedic and Ramayan Eras

Special moment. Visited the "Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas" (I-SERVE), Delhi Chapter, at Gurgaon today. Received a precious book as a gift - "Historicity of Vedic and Ramayan Eras" - being a compilation of scientific evidences of various thematic subjects such as Astronomy, Botany, Geography and Archaeology among others. Got a signed copy from Dr. Saroj Bala, the Chief Research Coordinator of the book and research project - "Scientific dating of ancient events before 2000 BC". She was earlier an officer of 1972 batch of the Indian Revenue Service and a former member of the CBDT, GoI.

Was invited to give a lecture "Landscape Paradigms in Indian Mythology" within the VANAJA lecture series at the Karve Institute's BN College of Architecture for Women, Pune. The lecture presented the tremendous geographic panorama of India's mythology.

Presenting a copy of the "Birds of Ramayana" to Scharada Dubey, author of 'Bol Bam', 'Portraits from Ayodhya' and 'Hanuman Heart'. She was the commissioning editor of the 'Birds of Ramayana' and also advised on critical changes in style and context. More importantly, the book was made possible because she could visualise the compilation and pushed the idea and brought together Vishal Soni and Vishwakarma Publications. I will forever be grateful to her support, and for making it possible to present the idea in a public panel discussion with Shatrujeet Nath, Anand Neelakantan and Kavita Kané during PILF 2015.

Release of "Birds of Ramayana" by Vishwakarma Publications

"BIRDS OF RAMAYANA" - finally published + printed. My new book, published by Vishwakarma Publications. Went through considerable edits, additions, inclusion of detailed glossary and splendid illustrations. The book is available through Vishwakarma Publications right now, and will soon be distributed to book stores and online vendors.

Dedication on Sri Ramanavami 2016

The pre-publication copy of the book "Birds of Ramayana" being dedicated today upon its completion on the occasion of Sri Ramanavami, at the Shri Ram temple, at Shri Brahmachaitanya Ashram, Parvati, Pune. The final run up to complete the book underwent considerably more research and revisions since August 2015. Hopefully, we will see the print run commencing very soon. At the dedication, with Shri Ram, Sita and Lakshmana. Along with Vishal Soni from Vishwakarma Publications, who had published the earlier "Katha Panduranga" in Marathi. The first manuscript got strengthened with edits from Scharada Dubey. The book is about the five birds of the Ramayana - Kakabhushundi, Krauncha, Jatayu, Sampati and Garuda.

Panel discussion at PILF 2015

At the panel discussion on 5 Sept with stalwart authors of bestselling titles in mythology during the Pune International Literary Festival PILF 2015 held at YASHADA. With Shatrujeet Nath (author of Karachi Deception and Guardians of Halahala), Anand Neelakantan (author of Asura, Ajaya and Kala), and Kavita Kané (author of Karna's Wife and Sita's Sister). I spoke of my forthcoming book, "Birds of Ramayana" to be brought out by Vishwakarma Publications.
